Abstract

Alice Voinescu and Zoe Dumitrescu Busulenga are the authors of some important Romanian monographs on Aeschylus and Sofocles. Despite of the fact that they are not sharing the same points of view on these Greek authors, Alice Voinescu and Zoe Dumitrescu-Busulenga examine the works of the two writers from a similar perspective, focusing on the way the human condition is defined by the aforementioned tragedians.

Keywords: Aeshylus, Sophocles, Romanian criticism, human condition, fate.
