The image of the knight appears not only in the Western literature of the Middle Ages, but also in the entire modern literature. The idea of knight survives even outside its history, representing a “superior type of humanity’’. “Even if it does not correspond to certain realities from institutions, it expresses though, in the image of a symbol, a specific number of values.” The ideal of chivalry comes down to a total obedience towards special arrangements along the entire life.
